About Us

Founded in 1855, we are a founder club of the Middlesex County Cricket League, commonly recognised as one of the strongest and most competitive amateur leagues in the country. Ever since John Walker founded the club we have played at The Walker Ground, where facilities and ground are second to none. Widely seen as one of North London’s finest and most beautiful grounds, Southgate has played host to many of the greats, from WG to Warne, international touring teams and county matches. For a more in-depth history of Southgate CC have a look at the ‘History’ section.

The club runs four Saturday and one Sunday elevens, providing members with competitive and friendly cricket. The club also takes part in National, Regional, County and Borough knockout cup competitions. We are proud to boast a thriving Colts section providing coaching and competitive cricket for local children between the ages of 7 and 15.

As a Clubmark accredited ECB focus club, we are committed to driving the club and the game forward.

Here are some of our Club officers who are trying to help achieve that, along with their contact details should you want to get in touch. (For directions and map links, go to the ‘Contact us’ section.)
