I am deeply saddened to confirm that Southgate Cricket Club has lost two of it’s most loyal supporters, Sandy White and Graham Titley.
Sandy, passed away in Hospital on Good Friday. A longstanding Walker Trustee and a fiercely loyal supporter of the cricket club, he traveled the length and breadth of the league to support the 1st XI through thick and thin, and despite ill health in recent times. He will, I’m sure be very much missed and noticeable for his absence at fine leg when the 2016 season starts in a few weeks. The funeral will take place on Friday 22nd April (12.30pm) at Christ Church (Church opposite the ground).
People will then be invited to The Walker Ground afterwards.
The family are unsure on numbers and so it would be appreciated it if club members could contact Steve Waters if they are going to attend.
Graham Titley passed away on Saturday evening at the North London Hospice. Graham and his wife Janet have been ever present supporters of the 1st XI for many years, typically setting up deckchairs at square leg and travelling to many away games. It’s hugely encouraging it is to have such loyal supporters on the boundary cheering you on and it’s often been the case that the people who come to watch are they’re not thanked enough for their support. On behalf of all of the players and everyone at the club I would like to extend our heartfelt sadness to Janet Titley. Graham will be missed by everyone at the cricket club.
Graham’s funeral will be held at Golders Green Crematorium on Friday 22nd April at 2.00 pm.
